PARTNER OFFER:

We offer specialised environmental proteomics and metaproteomics expertise to strengthen proposals targeting bioremediation of conflict-contaminated soils in Ukraine. Using advanced mass spectrometry and multi-omics integration, we identify active microbial and plant degradation pathways, quantify stress responses, and provide functional evidence of pollutant breakdown.

Our methods—including PISA, shotgun metaproteomics, metaproteogenomics, and protein-level resilience markers—allow real-time monitoring of biotechnological and Nature-based Solutions (phytoremediation, microbial remediation, bioaugmentation). These high-resolution tools help consortia:
• Map functional microbial impairment caused by explosives, hydrocarbons, metals, PFAS.
• Select and engineer microbial communities for bioremediation
• Monitor the success of field demonstration actions in Ukrainian soils
• Evaluate ecosystem recovery and climate resilience after intervention

We seek to join consortia working with contaminated soils, Ukrainian institutions, biotech solutions, phytoremediation, modelling, and Mission Soil initiatives.
