About

Earth Observation-Driven Soil Resilience and Climate Adaptation Modelling for Mediterranean Agricultural Landscapes

I am seeking partners for Horizon CL6-2026 topics, particularly:

  • HORIZON-CL6-2026-03-GOVERNANCE-01 (Earth Intelligence and AI for sustainable competitiveness),

  • HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-BIODIV-01 (Living labs for ecosystem restoration), and

  • HORIZON-CL6-2026-03-GOVERNANCE-02 (Analytical capacity for social and agricultural systems).

My expertise includes digital soil mapping, geostatistics, ML-based soil property prediction, agro-climatic modelling (GDD, frost risk, chilling, heat stress), land degradation assessment, and Earth-observation-based soil health monitoring. I work extensively with high-resolution NetCDF climate projections, remote sensing datasets (Sentinel-2, Landsat, PlanetScope), soil profile databases, and yield modelling in Mediterranean agro-ecosystems.

I propose to contribute with:

  • EO-based soil condition and soil resilience indicators

  • AI-driven modelling pipelines for climate-smart agriculture

  • Integration of agro-climatic indices into decision-support frameworks

  • Fuzzy clustering & management zones for landscape-scale interventions

  • Multi-sensor data fusion for soil biodiversity and ecosystem restoration studies

I am open to joining consortiums as a researcher or work package contributor, especially in tasks related to soil sampling and mapping, soil monitoring studies (Now EU has a soil monitoring law, but Turkey no, but I'm detailed following from EU soil monitoring law proposal to approve stage) climate adaptation modelling, and data processing/analytics.
