Partner offer: Decontaminate and bioremediate aquatic pollution
R&D Funding Coordinator at Global Biosciences Center, SGS
Lisbon, Portugal
About
GBC develops experiments to understand microbial communities and study various biological processes (e.g. microbiological corrosion, anaerobic digestion, bioremediation, bioleaching, biofuel production) to successfully exploit these processes to our benefit or to provide answers towards prevention and mitigation of the negative effects of microorganisms.
We make use of “the good side” of microorganisms for several biotechnological applications such as production of valuable compounds or treatment of wastes.
For topic HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-ZEROPOLLUTION-01-two-stage: Decontaminate and bioremediate aquatic pollution, we can contribute to "develop and demonstrate novel approaches, locally adaptable and site-specific solutions for the bioremediation and decontamination of aquatic pollution at source, in rivers, lakes, coastal and groundwaters and at sea, including removal processes, management of degradation processes, ensuring the approaches do not harm the environment.", "develop and demonstrate new, effective and affordable technologies, considering particularly solutions based on life sciences and biotechnology, including microorganisms and/or microbial communities (...), for the removal of pollutants (...) from marine waters, wastewater and drinking waters and the environment including groundwater and sediments.".
