AquaValor is a Portuguese private non-profit association, presenting itself as a thematic but multifunctional interface infrastructure that aims to support companies by involving them in their activity, responding to existing needs that are not being met by companies operating in the market, and also aims to create new channels for transferring and disseminating knowledge to the economic fabric. AquaValor essentially works around the theme of water, in its various aspects, as a distinctive/identity value, aggregator and driver of economic growth in the Alto Tâmega sub-region, mainly in four functional areas: Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) at the Service of Thermal Waters and Wellness Tourism; Specialised Services Dedicated to Generating Added Value; Research and Innovation; Training Highly Qualified Human Resources, namely master's and doctoral degrees, as well as Higher Professional Technical Courses and training courses for tourism, hotel and restaurant operators.
