The German Remote Sensing Data Center (DFD) is an institute of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) based in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich and Neustrelitz in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Together with the Remote Sensing Technology Institute (IMF) it forms the Earth Observation Center (EOC) – the center of competence for earth observation in Germany.
Juliane Huth received a graduated engineer degree (Dipl.-Ing.) in geodesy from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany in 2004.
Since 2007 she has been working at the German Remote Sensing Data Center of the German Aerospace Center (DLR). She is currently leading a group for remote sensing applications for coasts and river basins. Her research interests include the effects of climate change and extreme climatic events on natural ecosystems and the human-influenced environment in general.
Her research group of 10+ scientists has many years of experience in analyzing long time series of Earth observation data and is neither limited to specific data sets nor to specific regions.
