My organisation

Our research is put into action across government, non-government, and commercial sectors. We develop patents, utility models, technical methodologies, software, and mapping systems. We provide studies and expert reports to support state and local authorities, contribute to policy development, train industry professionals, and offer lifelong learning opportunities. We’re also committed to fostering innovation by supporting promising projects and young leaders, especially PhD students. Our work is published in leading international journals such as Nature, Science, Water Research, Land Use Policy, PNAS, and Remote Sensing of Environment, Environmental Science & Technology. We are active members of prominent international consortia and lead prestigious grants, including the European Research Council (ERC) Grant, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, and Horizon Europe. Our findings are shared with the public, and we collaborate closely with domestic and international media outlets, including Czech Radio, Czech Television, Reuters, Guardian and AFP. As a leading institution in life sciences, we are an active member of several prestigious international organizations, including the Euroleague for Life Sciences (ELLS), the Association for European Life Science Universities (ICA), the Danube Rector’s Conference (DRC), the Central and South Eastern Europe ICA Regional Network (CASEE), AGRINATURA – The European Alliance on Agricultural Knowledge for Development, and the European University Association (EUA). About me

Graduate of the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology of the University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice majoring in Plant Biotechnology (bachelor and master degrees); completed a 16 month internship at Wageningen University and Research in the Netherlands and a 9 month internship at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna in Austria.
Scientific consultant for various small and medium sized US and Canadian based companies focused on horticulture, hydroponic fertilizers and plant biotechnology.
Senior project manager with a focus on international projects, mainly in the program, Horizon Europe at the Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague (CZU). Pre-award support, project management and leadership, networking, individual consultations for scientists, dissemination of results.
Main project manager during the proposal preparation of following awarded projects: DRIFT-FOOD (2.4 mil. EUR), ECO-READY (13,6 mil. EUR), HIVE (2,5 mil. EUR) and as main CZU project manager contributing to EJP SOIL (80 mil EUR) and AgroServ (14,3 mil. EUR).
Engagement of stakeholders and policy-makers on the EU level, representing in Brussels and at various international venues and conferences establishing new partnerships and collaborations.
Organiser of workshops, networking events and seminars on Horizon Europe program and on how to prepare a successful proposal.
