My organisation

Rural Development Research Platform is an NGO in the city of Iasi from Romania (Nort-East Region) oriented on sustainable development of the rural and urban systems. RDRP is built on an integrated knowledge ecosystem consisting of an innovative platform for research, knowledge management and transfer, capacity building, and support for stakeholder communities.  Scientific Research: RDRP research is made as a support for the durable, sustainable, and inclusive development of the rural and urban systems in the European Union.  Regional Development: RDRP's main horizon of research and development is the North-East Development Region in Romania. Our activity is oriented on rural and urban development according with the contemporary European values and principles RDRP Objectives & Activities Scientific research. Development of fundamental, applied, and experimental research with impact in rural and urban socio-economics., Knowledge transfer. The development of participatory knowledge projects, with a particular focus on sustainability, durability, circular economy, healthy living, environmental protection, and cultural, material, and immaterial heritage., Systemic mapping and analysis: The development of the scientific infrastructure for the identification, analysis, and evaluation of the determining factors for the economic environment, social environment, quality of life, cultural heritage, and natural environment., Strong, multi-stakeholder communities: The development of communities of stakeholders, following the Quadruple Helix model, engages the main actors from the academic environment, the entrepreneurial environment, governance, and civil society., Knowledge ecosystems: the development of systemic infrastructures based on knowledge and participatory governance for the intelligent growth of rural and urban socioeconomics.

About me

PhD. Diana - Elean CREANGĂ is a proficient entrepreneur and researcher with extensive experience in promoting sustainable agricultural practices and environmental protection. Diana is also a Specialist Researcher at Iasi University of Life Sciences "Ion Ionescu de la Brad", actively involved in projects such as the "Climate Smart, Ecosystem-Enhancing and Knowledge-Based Rural Expertise and Training Centres. Additionally, she is an employee of the Institute of Agricultural Economics within the H2020 project titled "Multi-Actor and Transdisciplinary Development of Efficient and Resilient Mixed Farming and Agroforestry Systems (MIXED). Diana has successfully implemented over 30 projects with non-reimbursable financing, with various sources of financing. In terms of the academic perspective, the doctoral research "Research on the role of business clusters in the economic development of rural areas" has consolidated a strong connection with farmers and helps them develop through investment projects. Also, she is the Project Director of AGORA Forum Workshop for participatory governance in urban and regional systems, based on knowledge, dialogue, and strategic action. In the context of her work, she is promoting good agricultural practices to prevent and reduce pollution from rural areas. Diana promotes regional, national, and international exchange of experiences through workshops and conferences, ensuring the sustainability of Knowledge Transfer Networks (KTNs).
