The National Centre for Research and Development
The National Center for Research and Development (NCBR) is an executive agency.
From 2007 the Centre has linked the world of science and business, creating suitable conditions for research and development projects. Through the co-financing of R&D processes, it supports Polish entrepreneurs, significantly reducing their business risk accompanying the implementation of ground-breaking research projects.
The mission of the National Centre for Research and Development is to implement tasks that serve Poland's social and economic development and solve its inhabitants' specific civilization problems. The NCBR plays the role of an Intermediate Institution in the operational programmes Smart Growth and Knowledge Education Development. It also implements a range of domestic and international programmes and projects related to national security and defense.
With an annual budget for R&D works amounting to EUR 1 billion, the NCBR is currently the largest centre in the country and region for supporting the development of science and the economy.
I am an expert with a scientific background in animal genetics and 10 years of experience managing and evaluating Research and Development projects. I work at the National Contact Point for Cluster 6 of Horizon Europe at the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR). In this role, I provide consultations for participation in framework programmes, ensure constant communication between the European Commission and national stakeholders, conduct area analyses, and collaborate with ministries to incorporate national priorities into EC documents. Previously I coordinated programs and projects in the agri-environmental sector, evaluated funding applications, and represented NCBR at national and international conferences and workshops. I hold a Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences (Animal Genetics) from the Institute of Genetics and Animal Biotechnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. I have led and participated in several research projects. My primary interest is to support the sustainable development of food systems while staying within our planet's boundaries. I strongly advocate for nature-based solutions and deep ecology. I am passionate about seeking the perfect balance between economic growth and environmental protection and regeneration.
