OSAYOMORE EKHORUTOMWEN

I hold a Ph.D. in Crop Protection (Molecular Plant Pathology). I'm a reseacher at NIFOR, and an adjunct lecturer at the University of Benin. I'm an expert with vast research and teaching experience in agroecology, extension support service, climate smart and digital agriculture, field and storage disease management, field and storage disease management, molecular biology, mycotoxin, soil and plant health, plant pathology, seed pathology, biological control, and food safety.

I work closely with diverse groups of farmers in helping them to get a clearer view of what climate change can do to their farms and environment. I'm currently developing a framework to train diverse farmers on how their farms can be more resilient to climate change, and to strengthen their capacity to use environmental friendly solutions to implement agroecological practices in their farms.

Also, I work with researchers, authorities, input suppliers, agrotechnology manufacturers, agro-allied industries, agri-preneurs, and farmers through participatory research and learning. I provide consultancy services and technical support for institutions, agri-preneurs, agro-allied industries, trade unions, authorities, policy and decision makers.

Lastly, I have participated and earned several contracts, research grants, scholarships, and fellowships. I have several research articles published in several local and international journals. I like writing, reading, teaching, travelling, and footballing.
