Marco Gerevini is the Innovation Manager at Tecnoalimenti, responsible for creating and managing European R&D projects in the agri-food sector. He is an expert in technology intermediation and scouting innovative solutions for the food industry, with a proven track record in developing successful proposals for national and international funding calls.
Since 2005, Marco has been involved in 18 European projects, with experience as Coordinator of the ER2FOOD project. He developed the first European certification standard for Food Defense Management in public catering and was the creator and coordinator of the Working Group for the UNI/PdR 158:2024 on microplastics in food. He is also an experienced proposal evaluator for the European Commission.
An expert in sustainability and circularity certifications, Marco has extensive knowledge of GFSI certification standards, including BRC, IFS, and FSSC 22000.
Additionally, as an expert in food security and crisis management, Marco develops solutions to effectively manage and mitigate food crises, ensure robust systems for food security during emergencies, and minimize risks within the food supply chain.
