Łukasiewicz Research Network consists of 22 institutes situated in 12 Polish cities. It focuses on implementation of multidisciplinary research projects (including international) and commercialisation of their results. Operating under the “_Science is Business_” formula it provides entrepreneurs with solutions that help to improve their business and creates technologies that enhance sustainable development. We are the third largest research network in Europe.
Łukasiewicz - Poznan Institute of Technology – a network’s member located in Poznań - combines 5 research centres including Centre for Sustainable Economy dealing with research, development and implementation of sustainable and environmental technologies and products dedicated to forestry-wood sector (lignocellulosic composites, wood-based materials, bio-based adhesives innovative recycling technologies, as well as conduct environmental, economic, and social analyses).
I am particularly focused on the utilisation of residual lignocellulosic biomass for the development of value-added products, especially wood-based composites and bio-based adhesives. After getting my PhD Degree at the Poznan University of Technology, I have been working for 13 years in the research institute dealing with forestry-wood sector. In the past I hold the managerial positions of Deputy Director for Research and Director of the Research Center. I am currently working as Leading Researcher. I am the representative member of my Institute in several international scientific networks, including INNOVAWOOD. Currently I am involved in the Horizon Europe project, focused on the valorization of pyrolysis products including biochar and wood vinegar.
