Applied science and art activities at Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution include applied scientific research, experimental development, and art activities. Applied science and art activities aim to solve social development problems, develop programmes relevant to business enterprises and organisations, improve the quality of the study process, attract additional funds, and achieve international recognition of Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution. The academic staff of KK, stakeholders and academic partners from Lithuania and foreign countries, and students join these activities. The main features of the KK policy of studies and applied scientific and art activities are the practical applicability of the results, interdisciplinarity, integration into studies, and internationality. The research carried out: the development of the new food products; investigations into the quality of food raw materials and food products, application of food safety standards in food processing enterprises; improving technologies for producing traditional food products; development and processing of innovative bio-based raw materials; investigations into floriculture, horticulture, plant protection; investigating the physical/chemical parameters of surface and groundwater and soil.
