3Bee - Biodiversity Living Lab
About
3Bee is building the first European network of Biodiversity Oases, a large-scale project that already includes over 100 sites across Italy, France, and Spain dedicated to protecting and regenerating nature.
Each oasis is a technological hub. The entire network is managed by a centralized MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification) system and equipped with a full suite of monitoring tools. This includes proprietary sensors for bees (like Hive-Tech) providing real-time colony health, satellite monitoring to track large-scale habitat regeneration, and AI-powered bioacoustics and imaging for the recognition of key species, including birds, pollinators, and mammals.
This high-tech approach is grounded in local action. 3Bee has trained over 100 professional 'Biodiversity Growers' to manage the land. Furthermore, many oases serve as educational hubs, adopted by local schools that conduct environmental courses on-site. This unique, data-driven, and community-integrated approach allows 3Bee to monitor ecosystem health and measurably prove the impact of its conservation efforts.
