Tool for Foodwaste measurement & prevention via computer vision
About
Gambooza provides an AI-powered tool that helps foodservice businesses measure and reduce food waste through visual monitoring.
Cameras are installed in strategic areas of the kitchen (e.g. plate return and serving lines) to automatically capture images of food before and after service. These images are analyzed using computer vision to identify what is served, what is consumed, and what is wasted.
The system generates real-time data, intuitive dashboards, and actionable recommendations to adjust portion sizes, improve menu planning, and cut costs.
Our solution is non-intrusive, requires no staff intervention, and can be deployed easily in restaurants, canteens, schools, and catering operations.
It supports regulatory compliance, enhances sustainability reporting, and aligns with EU goals on food waste prevention and circular economy.
