FARM2FORK-12: Proteomics & exposome approaches to link nutrition and mental health
About
Proteomics and exposome tools to reveal diet-microbiome-host interactions linked to mental health and nutritional resilience.
Cristobal Lab (Linköping University, Sweden) brings advanced expertise in environmental proteomics and profiling host-microbiome interactions to support projects linking nutrition to mental health.
We propose proteomics and omics tools to identify molecular markers that reflect the interplay between diet, the gut microbiome, and neurological function.
We have extensive experience in biomarker discovery, multi-omics integration, and including studies on food-borne toxins, and metaproteomics.
We seek partners in nutritional science, mental health, microbiomics, public health, and social sciences to co-develop a proposal that integrates molecular data with behavioral and clinical endpoints. Our contribution will strengthen mechanistic understanding and help define evidence-based dietary strategies for mental well-being.
