HORIZON-CL6-2025-01-CIRCBIO-07: Demonstration, deployment and upscaling of circular systemic solutions in cities and regions
Senior Research Fellow at Technological University Of The Shannon - TUS
Limerick, Ireland
About
Our group have developed and scaled up a number of bio-based circular processes for valorisation of primary biobased producers and food industry byproducts and are looking to lead or participate in consortium for to demonstrate a joint city-region initiative.
CircAB is focusing on circular agriculture and biotechnology at scale and have an extensive experience in the developing and upscaling to up to 3000L in following areas:
Fungal and bacterial fermentation processes on by-products to produce enzymes and building blocks.
Enzymatic digestion to variouse bio-based material and downstream processing (three-phase centrifugation, membrane and chromatographic separation, chrystalisation and drying)to purify compounds of interest.
Algal technology development and scaling up to 1000L closed-loop reactors for primary production, waste water treatment and CO2 removal.
All types of chromatography and Mass spectrometry metabolomics, proteomics and omics for discovery and quantitation.
Anaerobic Digestion of liquid effluents and pyrolysis of variouse biomasses followed by formulation into a tailored fertiliser and testing in Living Labs conditions.
Development of a soil health LL under the Horizon Mission Soil Initiative
