About

Discovery Living Lab offers partners access to our extensive network spanning diverse agricultural landscapes across the Carpathian basin. As a mature organization operating nationwide since 2012, we joined the European Network of Agroecology Living Labs as a Full Network Member in 2025, complementing our status as a Certified Member of ENoLL since 2022.

Our Living Lab excels in co-creation, bringing together farmers, researchers, industry partners and policymakers to develop and test agroecological and precision innovations in real-world settings. Through our governance model, we ensure democratic decision-making via a cooperative approach that integrates transdisciplinary research across agricultural, environmental, social and economic sciences.

Discovery LL has also been officially recognized as a "Soil Health Living Lab Initiative" on the PREPSOIL map following a positive assessment of the EU Mission 'A Soil Deal for Europe for Soil LLs and LH' - highlighting our alignment with their criteria and commitment to advancing soil health innovation.

Our comprehensive approach promotes sustainable agriculture through precision techniques, data-driven decision-making and agroecological practices like cover cropping, organic amendments and tailored irrigation strategies. We enhance biodiversity and ecosystem resilience by integrating agroforestry, diversified cropping systems and resource-efficient practices that support soil health and climate resilience.

Our full range of services includes on-farm experimentation, soil sampling, GIS mapping, remote sensing and data visualization - providing complete field-to-analysis capabilities. We're committed to circular farming principles, responsible resource management and policy advocacy at local, national and European levels to drive agroecological transitions.

Ideal for partners seeking to validate agricultural innovations, collect robust field data, implement Soil Mission objectives or develop holistic solutions for sustainable food systems through direct farmer engagement and collaborative problem-solving.
