About

The Department of Law, Politics and International Studies of the University of Parma can provide valuable interdisciplinary support to Horizon Europe Cluster 6 – Farm 2Fork proposals through its consolidated expertise in areas such as agri-food law, environmental regulation, public policy analysis, international relations, and sustainability governance.

All our teams, each specialised in a specific area of either public or private law (agrifood law, comparative law, consitutional law, civil law, criminal law, administrative law, tax law, labour law, history of law, philosphy of law, etc.) are already working together within the Food for Future project and its research directions (Food law history, Food sustainability, Food innovation, Food (In)Equality, IP and farm law).

Our department can act as a complementary partner by:

  • Contributing to the legal and policy analysis of EU agri-food and sustainability frameworks;

  • Supporting the design of governance models that enhance policy coherence from local to EU level;

  • Assessing the societal and ethical implications of innovations in the agri-food sector;

  • Facilitating stakeholder engagement, participatory processes, and policy dialogues;

  • Promoting the integration of social sciences and humanities in technological and scientific innovation processes.

Thanks to its multidisciplinary approach, the connection with stakeholders and active participation in European research networks, the department is well-positioned to strengthen the impact and policy relevance of Farm2Fork proposals.
