HORIZON-CL6-2025-01-BIODIV-02-two-stage: Breeding for resilience: enhancing multi-stress tolerance in crops
Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Project Partner at Sabancı University
Istanbul, Türkiye
About
-
The development of climate-resilient and micronutrient-enriched crop varieties will be enabled through the integration of advanced knowledge in plant nutrition, stress physiology, and biofortification.
-
Resource-efficient fertilization protocols and low-input nutrient management frameworks will be formulated and validated to optimize crop performance under abiotic stress conditions while reducing environmental load.
-
Biodiversity-enhancing agro-ecological practices will be designed and promoted to strengthen the functional resilience of cropping systems facing climate-induced multi-stress scenarios.
-
Capacity-building activities, including targeted training programs and knowledge-transfer platforms, will be implemented to facilitate the adoption of sustainable and stress-resilient agricultural systems.
