About

Risk analysis and research related to developing sustainable & safe food

The "Food Safety Facing Climate Change Challenges" project aims to address the growing concerns about the impact of climate change on food safety and public health. As global temperatures rise and weather patterns become increasingly unpredictable, the project will investigate how these environmental changes affect food production, distribution, and consumption.

Key objectives include:

  1. Risk Assessment: Evaluating how climate-related factors such as temperature fluctuations, increased precipitation, and extreme weather events influence foodborne pathogens and contaminants. This includes studying the resilience of livestock to climate stressors and their implications for food safety.

  2. Adaptation Strategies: Developing and promoting best practices for food safety management that are adaptable to changing climates. This will involve collaboration with farmers, food producers, and public health officials to implement strategies that minimize risks and ensure food quality.

  3. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Engaging stakeholders across various sectors, including agriculture, public health, and environmental science. This collaborative approach will facilitate the sharing of knowledge and resources to tackle food safety challenges comprehensively.

  4. Community Education: Raising awareness about the potential risks associated with climate change and empowering communities with information on safe food handling practices, sustainable agriculture, and the importance of food safety in the context of a changing environment.

By fostering resilience in food systems and promoting sustainable practices, this project aims to enhance food safety and protect public health in the face of climate change.

We are representing research institution, looking for partners from business & academia with complementary expertise in sustainable food systems, innovations, and technology developers. We would like to create sustainable, resilient & safe food systems.
