The Institute specialises in the development of innovative technologies for the synthesis and safety assessment evaluation of chemical substances and their mixtures used in plant protection products, biocides, veterinary products, pharmaceuticals and food and feed additives.The Institute's scope of activity includes comprehensive research and development projects, covering toxicity and ecotoxicity assessment, as well as environmental and process safety issues. Key research areas include chemistry, chemical technology, pharmacy, biotechnology, toxicology, ecotoxicology, medical devices, agriculture, and matters related to defence and national security. We actively participate in national and international projects, seeking partners for research and development consortia.
