CONTEXT:

The event “Business & Investment in Canada. Ontario & Nova Scotia”, organized by Basque Trade & Investment / the Basque Internationalization Agency in collaboration with the Embassy of Canada in Spain, will be an unique opportunity to learn about development plans and business opportunities in Canada, with a focus also in two of its provinces, Ontario and Nova Scotia.

The event will feature the participation of:

• Ms. Marine Lochon, Interim Manager, Investor Services at Invest Ontario.

• Ms. Suzanne Frazer, Investment Attraction Executive at Invest Nova Scotia

Canada and the EU have a solid business relationship, built upon many years of trade and investment, and facilitated by the free-trade agreement CETA that has been in-force since 2017. In the last years, there has been a renewed partnership between Canada and Europe in valuable topics like energy, critical minerals and the new status of Canada as an Associated Country to Horizon Europe, the EU's key funding programme for research and innovation. This event represents an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of government initiatives and business opportunities in infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, clean tech and energy sectors, among others.
