Resilient Context-Aware Communication for Cities and Citizens

Placenet is building a European consortium to develop and validate a resilient communication solution for situations where conventional networks are disrupted, overloaded or unavailable.

Placenet contributes the contextual communication layer, enabling public authorities and citizens to exchange relevant information according to location, affected area, identity, role and real-time context.

We are looking for complementary European partners in resilient connectivity, private 4G/5G, mesh networks, satellite communications, edge infrastructure, mission-critical communications, IoT, backup energy, emergency management and early-warning technologies.

We are also interested in cities, civil protection bodies and emergency-response organisations willing to participate in real-world pilots.

The objective is to combine resilient connectivity with contextual, bidirectional communication and validate an interoperable solution for disaster preparedness and emergency response.
