About
OST is a dynamic, innovative university that strengthens the Eastern Switzerland region with forward-looking initiatives and makes a significant contribution to its economic and social development. We are the university of applied sciences for the six cantons of Eastern Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. With around 3,800 students spread across six Schools, 1,500 professionals pursuing executive education, and over 1,000 current research projects, we are Eastern Switzerland's regional educational hub.
With the focus of its research and development geared toward the effective knowledge transfer, OST plays a leading role among Swiss universities of applied sciences and contributes to solving relevant social and economic issues for its stakeholders.
Creating competent and pragmatic engineers in a wide range of fields is only possible in a practice-oriented and hands-on environment. Thus, technology transfer plays an important role in research and consulting activities at the School of Technology. Customers also benefit from the interdisciplinary approach taken by our professionals.
