University realizes complex education training of administrators-professionals in education field, in the first from reserves for substitution of administrative positions, distinguished by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Autonomic Republic of Crimea, regional (Kyiv and Sevastopol city), district (city) administrations of education and science, educational institutions; professional improvement of administrative and pedagogical personnel of different level (improvement of qualification, re-training, specialization, training etc.), conduct substantial scientific and research, and scientific and methodological activity in distinguishing and realization of state policy in the field of postgraduate pedagogical education, issues of professional development of these categories of professionals, assist to introduction in educational activity of androgogics, acmeology, pedagogical innovatons; executes functions of All-Ukrainian, educational and scientific and methodological centre of postgraduate pedagogical education. The main directions of scientific activity of UMO: management of educational institutions and management of education; social psychology and management psychology; pedagogical and age psychology; theory and practice of organizing postgraduate education and adult learning; projection of innovative technologies of management of the system of postgraduate pedagogical education in the conditions of social change; application of information and communication technologies in the open education system; Psychological and pedagogical principles of preparation of competitive specialists in the conditions of postgraduate education.
