BiombillasTech: Smart Automation System for Industrial-Scale Production of Natural Compostable Drinking Straws
About
We seek to co-develop, with a Eureka partner, a modular mechatronic system capable of autonomously processing vegetal stems, integrating machine vision, laser-based calibration, and robotic packaging.
The ideal collaboration would combine expertise in robotics, computer vision, industrial machinery design, AI-based classification of natural materials, and adaptive control systems. The goal is to build a scalable, replicable production line with international patentability, uniquely suited to handle non-standardized natural materials with industrial precision.
We aim to reach a functional prototype stage with global replication potential, especially in agricultural regions (Europe, Latin America) where local vegetal materials could be adapted for production. We are looking for a partner with experience in agro-industrial automation, classification technologies, or machinery for irregular natural products.
This alliance would allow us to shift from semi-industrial to fully automated production, driving global impact in the reduction of single-use plastics and strengthening sustainable value chains.
