WPD Pharmaceuticals is developing a targeted oncology pipeline based on proprietary ligand-directed drug delivery technologies licensed from Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

WPD401 is the company’s lead preclinical/early clinical oncology candidate for glioblastoma and selected solid tumors. It is a multi-targeted ligand-drug conjugate designed to recognize tumor-associated receptors, including IL-13RA2 and Eph receptors, and deliver a potent cytotoxic payload directly to cancer cells. For glioblastoma, WPD401 is being developed for local administration using convection-enhanced delivery, with the aim of maximizing intratumoral exposure while limiting systemic toxicity. The program is supported by strong translational rationale, including data from spontaneous canine glioma models, and is being advanced toward clinical development in collaboration with leading academic and technology partners.

WPD103 is a targeted radiotheranostic program focused on IL-13RA2-positive tumors. The asset combines tumor-specific targeting with DOTA-based radiolabeling for potential diagnostic imaging and radionuclide therapy applications. WPD103 is designed to support patient selection, tumor visualization, and targeted treatment in cancers where IL-13RA2 expression represents a clinically relevant biomarker, including glioblastoma and other solid tumors. The program is supported by non-dilutive grant funding and forms part of WPD’s broader strategy to build an integrated targeted oncology platform.
