Lysantum Human Platelet Lysate
About
Lysantum is a GMP-grade, xeno-free human platelet lysate (HPL) developed by the Transfusion Research Center (TReC) of Rode Kruis Vlaanderen (Belgian Red Cross Flanders), offering a xeno-free alternative to Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS) for cell therapy and regenerative medicine. Sourced exclusively from voluntary European donors and processed with pathogen inactivation (Intercept method), Lysantum is the only HPL brand backed by a blood establishment that both manufactures and commercializes its product — enabling complete donor-to-vial traceability. Lysantum is available in two product lines, Premium (from platelet concentrates) and Ultra (from buffy coats), each offered in Research and Clinical grades, serving cell and gene therapy manufacturers, CDMOs, and academic GMP centers worldwide
