DerMap™, a patented polymer-free microneedle platform for painless delivery of peptides and other therapeutics.
About
ArrayPatch Ltd is an Irish biotechnology company developing DerMap™, a patented polymer-free dissolving microneedle platform designed to transform the delivery of peptides and other therapeutics through the skin. Unlike conventional microneedle technologies that rely on polymer matrices and have limited drug loading capacity, DerMap™ enables high drug loading with minimal excipients, offering a painless, convenient alternative to injections while improving patient adherence and treatment outcomes.
The company's lead programme focuses on GLP-1 peptide delivery for obesity and diabetes, supported by encouraging preclinical data generated with multiple GLP-1 peptides. ArrayPatch is also advancing programmes in skin cancer and onychomycosis (nail fungal infection), demonstrating the broad applicability of its platform across multiple therapeutic areas.
Founded as a spin-out from University College Cork (UCC), ArrayPatch has built a strong intellectual property portfolio covering its core platform technology, manufacturing process, and therapeutic applications, with additional patent filings planned for GLP-1 peptide delivery. The company is actively engaging with global pharmaceutical companies for co-development opportunities and is preparing for a €10–12 million Series A financing to advance its GLP-1 programme into first-in-human clinical studies.
ArrayPatch's vision is to become a global leader in transdermal drug delivery by enabling the next generation of injectable medicines to be delivered safely, effectively, and painlessly through the skin.
