Microneedle Array Patch System

MEDRx has been developing its proprietary microneedle array system for transdermal delivery of small molecules and biologics, including vaccines, peptides and proteins. One of the advantages of this drug-coated microneedle array technology is its well-considered design of the shape of microneedle. Combination of the well-designed shape of microneedle shaft and the micro-sized diameter of the tip (less than 10 micrometers) lead to the most striking feature of the microneedle technology, which is realized by the puncture performance efficacies of the microneedles when the array is applied on the skin.

For gaining the drug efficacy fully via microneedle therapy, the condition for fully-stabbing of the skin by drug-coated microneedles on the patch needs to be met. MEDRx has designed the unique design of microneedle shaft shape that helps the user complete application of the drug-coated microneedle array patch.
