The Tsinghua iFHHs Digital Engine Laboratory, hosted by the Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (SIGS), is dedicated to establishing a world-leading platform for digital engine innovation and cross-sector integration. The laboratory advances two core pillars in synergy:
The first pillar focuses on foundational research and independent development of digital engine technologies, encompassing intelligent rendering, physics simulation, AI-driven production pipelines, and modular system architectures. We strive for continuous breakthroughs in core algorithms and key toolchains, providing systematic and standardized technological support for digital creative production.
The second pillar deepens industrial applications through two practice-oriented platforms. The iDEA Design Studio rebuilds the foundational logic of architectural design tools upon the digital engine. By fusing cutting-edge technology with spatial language and iterating creative workflows through intelligent pipelines, we shift design from experience-driven to a symbiosis of algorithm and perception. Striving for the unity of craft and poetry, we aim to earn the highest recognition from the global architectural community with works that transcend their time. The ZAO Society takes space as the medium to explore the deep coupling between digital engines and industrial ecosystems. Spanning the five essential domains of daily lifeentertainment, clothing, food, Inhabit, and transportationwe build an open and collaborative network for academia and industry, driving the systematic integration and standardization of digital engine technologies across smart production, intelligent living, connected mobility, and future entertainment.
