Future Consulting 5.0 Platform – Research & Concept Initiative for Belt & Road

About
Consulting 5.0 is an independent research initiative exploring the future of the global professional‑services industry in an increasingly digital, AI‑enabled and ESG‑driven world. The project investigates how consulting can evolve from a traditional, people‑intensive service into a scalable, knowledge‑driven platform model that connects organizations, experts, content and data along modern digital value chains.
The current phase of Consulting 5.0 is purely conceptual and research‑oriented. It focuses on developing the theoretical and architectural foundations for a future digital consulting platform that could be implemented along the Digital Silk Road. This envisioned platform would enable more efficient knowledge use, improved governance, better forecasting of emerging business topics, and new forms of value creation for companies and society.
Hong Kong plays a central role in this exploration. As a global hub for professional services, innovation, finance and cross‑border collaboration, Hong Kong provides an ideal environment to validate the research, exchange ideas with institutional stakeholders, and explore potential partnerships with technology ecosystems, administrative bodies and investors. The Belt and Road Summit offers a unique opportunity to present the current research status, outline the long‑term platform vision, and identify partners interested in strategic cooperation or exploratory collaboration.
Consulting 5.0 does not offer operational consulting or IT services at this stage and is not seeking implementation support. The project is intentionally positioned as a research and concept initiative to prepare for potential development and monetization phases from 2027 onward. The participation in the Summit aims to gather insights, validate assumptions, and explore interest from organizations that see value in new models of digital consulting, knowledge governance and platform‑based service innovation.
Supporting materials (a one‑page summary and a short presentation) will be provided shortly to complement the project description. These documents will outline the research approach, the conceptual platform model, and the potential relevance for Belt and Road economies and the Digital Silk Road.
Consulting 5.0 is open to discussions on strategic partnerships (including setup as Public-Private Partnership Project), research collaboration and exploratory cooperation that contribute to the further development of the project.
