Speaker’s Biography Dr. U-Cheol Jeong studied Marine biology and Marine life science at Gyeongsang National University, where he also completed his Ph.D. and later served as Research professor. With an academic background deeply rooted in marine science, he has specialized in the cultivation of aquatic organisms and applied his research to practical innovation. Building on years of research in waterflea aquaculture technology, Dr. Jeong founded his own company, which rapidly evolved into a corporation with nearly 20 employees in just two years. His entrepreneurial journey has been recognized with multiple startup awards, reflecting both his scientific expertise and business leadership. Currently, he is expanding the company’s vision toward global markets, with a particular focus on developing and commercializing advanced technologies for the mass production of superior fish fry, based on mass production of Moina as a critical live feed. Through these efforts, Dr. Jeong aims to contribute to the advancement of aquaculture technology, ensuring sustainable growth of the marine biotechnology industry and strengthening food security for the future.
