The extremely favourable geographical position of “Transylvania” Airport Tîrgu Mureș, both domestically and to the main capitals in the region – Belgrade, Budapest, Bucharest and Chisinau – is one of its main advantages. Thanks to its favourable position near the railway Deda-Războieni, the European route E60 Bucharest-Budapest and future Transylvania highway, the airport has the opportunity to become the biggest business, transport and touristic hub in Transylvania.
Andrei Peti is the Chairman and CEO of Transylvania – Târgu Mureș International Airport from Romania. The name Transylvania is a brand recognized both locally and internationally for its beautiful scenery and cultural wealth. Mr. Peti joined Transylvania International Airport team in 2012 as Vice-President and from 2016 is fulfilling his actual position. Previously he was partner and owner in private consulting companies involved in European Union financing programs.
He has university degree in law at „Babeș-Bolyai” University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, master degree in private law institutions at „Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu, Romania, and now he is attending Ph.D. studies in the field of corporate governance at University of Public Service, Doctoral School of Public Administration Sciences, Legal Studies, Budapest, Hungary. He is author of several scientific articles published in Romanian, Hungarian and English language, in nationally and worldwide recognized publications, and he was lecturer at various national and international conferences.
From 2009 he is member of Counsel of Judicial Counsellors from Romania. He is Vice-President at Romanian Airports Association and in this role, he is a member in the Romanian National Committee of Aeronautical Facilitation. He is also a member of Airports Council International Europe, Economics Committee.
Mr. Peti is married with three children. His hobbies include tennis and mountain hiking.
