Ben Au is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AP Family Office, a leading multi-family office based in Sydney. With over 20 years of experience across family office establishment, wealth and financial planning, investment advisory, and accounting services, Ben has built AP Family Office into one of the Asia-Pacific region’s most trusted and established platforms, overseeing more than A$1 billion in assets under management.

Ben has successfully led numerous high-value, cross-border investment transactions across a wide range of asset classes, industries, and geographies. Under his leadership, AP Family Office has cultivated a global network that provides clients with privileged access to strategic insights, exclusive deal flow, and international resources.

Prior to founding AP Family Office, Ben served as a trusted accountant to both listed companies and high-net-worth individuals in Hong Kong, China, and Australia. He brings deep expertise in cross-border commercial transactions and currently holds independent supervisory roles on the boards of several publicly listed companies in Hong Kong.

A strong advocate for making family office services more accessible, Ben promotes a holistic and values-driven approach to wealth management. He is actively involved in business communities across Australia, Hong Kong, and China and is frequently consulted by mainstream media for his views on regional economic and investment trends.

Ben is also committed to community service and social inclusion. He is a long-time supporter of the National Indigenous Human Rights Awards and has served as a Justice of the Peace in New South Wales since 2012, recognised for his service with honesty, integrity, and impartiality.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology Sydney. He is a qualified CPA in both Australia and Hong Kong, a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). He is registered with the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) in Australia and serves as a Responsible Manager for a licensed Australian financial services provider holding both an AFSL and ACL.
