Highly Energy Efficient HEPA media
About
According to the World Health Organization, air pollution is a silent killer that affects 99% of household and kills more than 3 million people annually. Nanoparticles are particularly bad for health as they are present everywhere, and can only be removed using HEPA filters. However, traditional HEPA filters are not applicable to typical HVAC system as they require higher power to operate. The nanofibre-based filter media can turn any central HVAC system into an air-purifier, replacing traditional HEPA filters, while being more energy-efficient and longer lasting. Not only does the filter media capture harmful particles efficiently, but also extends the lifespan of HVAC systems. It creates a clean, dust-free environment at lower cost, lowering the threshold to build clean rooms for manufacturing and healthcare services. The nanofiber-based filter-media provides low-cost access to clean air, necessary for advanced manufacturing processes, better health for the occupants, and longevity of equipment, with the potential to make all aspects of modern life better.
