About
The Al Abdali Economic Zone is one of three flagship economic zones being developed by the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) under the country’s broader economic diversification strategy. The Al Abdali Economic Zone (AEZ) in northern Kuwait is a flagship project by the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority, designed as the country’s first smart, sustainable economic city. Located 90 km from Kuwait City and close to the Iraqi border, it spans 5 km² and serves as a northern trade gateway linked to the GCC railway and Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port. With an estimated investment of around KD 1 billion (US$3.3 billion), the AEZ will feature light industry, logistics, housing, healthcare, and green spaces, creating over 26,000 jobs and accommodating about 35,000 residents.
