Organised under the NoBoCap project
Hosted within BEHEALTH 2026
The Safe
MedTech
Challenge
Build safe, useful and validated MedTech solutions for patients, clinicians and healthcare systems.
About the Hackathon
The Safe MedTech Challenge is a practical hackathon inside the BEHEALTH 2026 International Hybrid Event in Healthcare. Participants work in multidisciplinary teams to design, prototype and pitch MedTech solutions that are safe, useful, clinically relevant and understandable for real users.
The hackathon prioritizes patient safety, clinical workflow fit, validation evidence, usability and responsible implementation. Teams move from a clear problem statement to a demonstrable prototype and credible adoption plan.
Eligible participants
Clinicians, engineers, students, designers, product people, researchers and entrepreneurs interested in safe MedTech innovation.
Teams or individuals
Register as a team or individually. Individual applicants may be matched with complementary profiles during the event.
Recommended profiles
Clinical insight, engineering, data/AI, UX, product, business and entrepreneurship skills are welcome.
Short rules
Be original, disclose prior work, respect data/privacy rules, validate assumptions and pitch work developed during the hackathon.
The Safe MedTech
Challenge
