HANDWERK BW , formerly known as the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Skilled Crafts (BWHT) until 2022 , is the umbrella organization for skilled trades in Baden-Württemberg and represents their interests at the state level. HANDWERK BW's members are the eight Chambers of Skilled Crafts in Baden-Württemberg, located in Freiburg, Heilbronn, Karlsruhe, Konstanz, Mannheim, Reutlingen, Stuttgart, and Ulm.

Furthermore, the umbrella organization, which is a registered association, includes the trade associations of Baden-Württemberg's skilled crafts sector, which are both employers' and industry associations. Ten other organizations closely associated with the skilled crafts sector are also members.

The BWHT was founded in 1960 and maintains its Stuttgart office in the immediate vicinity of our chamber building. The umbrella organization's main task is in trade policy and lobbying representatives of politics and other sectors of society.
