Jaciene Alves Cardoso is an Indigenous artisan from the Piratapuya people of the Brazilian Amazon. Based in São Gabriel da Cachoeira, she creates handcrafted jewelry and accessories using traditional materials such as tucum fiber, seeds, and other natural elements from the rainforest. Through her work with the ACAICA Association, Jaciene promotes Indigenous culture, sustainable craftsmanship, and economic opportunities for local communities. Her creations reflect the ancestral knowledge, cultural identity, and biodiversity of the Upper Rio Negro region in the Amazon.
