Azza Seafood is a Mauritanian-Hungarian family business specialising in the sourcing, processing and export of frozen Mauritanian seafood to the European market. Our operations are based in Nouadhibou, Mauritania, with European commercial coordination managed from Hungary.

Our main products include cephalopods and lobster, while our strong local presence allows us to source a wide range of seafood species available in Mauritanian waters according to our customers’ requirements.

Our strength is combining local presence at origin with an understanding of European buyers and their needs. In Nouadhibou, our quality manager personally oversees the selection of fresh catches according to our quality standards and each customer’s specifications. The seafood is then processed and frozen at our EU-approved partner facility.

We work with a customer-focused, made-to-order approach. Rather than offering only standard products, we coordinate production according to each buyer’s requirements, including size, grading, processing, packaging and quantities. Clear communication and close coordination throughout the process are central to how we work.

We also understand the challenges of year-round supply when working with wild-caught seafood and seasonal fisheries. For this reason, we encourage long-term cooperation and forward planning. By understanding our customers’ expected volumes and specifications in advance, we can plan sourcing during the appropriate fishing seasons and prepare stock for their specific needs.
