ARISE2 Matchmaking with partners

5 May 2025 - 1 June 2025

Create new collaborations between EMBL groups and ARISE2 partners' groups

Register now to make your profile and discuss possible collaborations during May.
Deadline for scientific planing related to 2nd ARISE2 call is 31 May.

How matchmaking works

  • Every researcher interested in meeting other colleagues from ARISE2 program makes their own profile

    • Register: select science and technology fields of your interest, in which kind of collaboration you are interested, and write a short (searchable for others) description of your work.
  • Find people who share your interests - Once registered, log in and go to Participants (top right) - there you will see others who already registered. Select science and technology fields for which you wish to filter or write keywords in search field. Others will search for you in the same way.

  • Message others: open the profile of other person and click the message sign (cloud) beside their name. Propose to meet.

  • Arrange separate meeting on zoom or other platform, at the time that works for both.

  • Deadline: To be considered for the 2nd ARISE2 call, all collaboration planning must be finished by 31st May.

For more information on the matchmaking process, see FAQ.

Which types of interaction are possible within ARISE2:

There are two types of scientific interactions that you can plan:

1. collaborating for 3 years, during the whole fellowship where partners participate in the selection, advising and funding of the fellow for the full 3 years, and if suitable for the project, host them for the long secondment for up to 11 months.

2. interacting over 2-6 months ( long secondment of future ARISE2 fellows)during which the fellow works at partner's premisses, on the part of their project which is of mutual interest for both partner and fellow/EMBL group leader. These possibilities can already be considered before the fellows apply, as well as shortly after they start their fellowship.

IMPORTANT FOR PARTNER GROUPS AND TEAMS: Not all partner organisations committed to both types of interaction. See where your organisation is at the list below. If you wish to go for an interaction which was not originally planed by your organisation - please contact tanja.ninkovic@ricapacity.com and we will try to make it possible.
