Advanced Therapies in Belgium 2027 is an action-oriented conference designed to connect the Belgian advanced therapies ecosystem while opening the discussion to leading European and international perspectives.
Bringing together stakeholders across the full value chain — from research and development to manufacturing, investment, healthcare and patient access — the conference will focus on a central question: how can Belgium build on its existing strengths to accelerate advanced therapies and reinforce its position in an increasingly competitive international landscape?
The programme will move beyond showcasing excellence to address the strategic choices and practical actions needed for the next phase: accelerating the journey from discovery to first patient, strengthening the right manufacturing capabilities, improving the investment environment, and ensuring that innovation can effectively reach patients.
International perspectives, concrete industry experience, investor insights and the patient voice will provide both external benchmarks and new opportunities for collaboration, while challenging the Belgian ecosystem to identify where it can differentiate, which capabilities should be strengthened, and how stakeholders can work more effectively across projects, regions and sectors.
Honoring the ATMP-PIT Legacy
A dedicated session will celebrate the achievements of ATMP-PIT, one of Wallonia’s major collaborative ATMP programmes. Beyond recognising what has been accomplished, the conference will capture its lessons, assets and legacy as a foundation for future collaboration and for the next generation of advanced therapy initiatives.
Ultimately, the ambition is to move from individual projects to coordinated approaches, from excellence to acceleration, and from recommendations to concrete commitments — helping shape the next chapter of advanced therapies in Belgium towards 2030.
