About me
Hilde Mol-Lukkezen’s journey to becoming a translator was anything but planned. Graduating in 1996 with a degree in Languages and Cultures of Latin America from the University of Leiden, Hilde initially envisioned a career in development cooperation and healthcare. Her academic pursuits led her to Chile, where she spent six months researching and writing her thesis on youth attitudes and behaviours concerning HIV prevention and AIDS.
After graduation, however, Hilde joined the Latin America department of a leading Dutch dredging company. It was here that her language skills came to the forefront, inspiring her to found Exito Vertaalbureau in 1998. Despite its modest size, Exito has earned a reputation for excellence under Hilde’s leadership. She is committed to fostering open communication, delivering personal attention, and maintaining a professional approach with clients and translators alike. Always on the lookout for innovative opportunities, Hilde mentors young translators and students and frequently shares her expertise at educational events.
As a board member of the Vereniging Tolk- en Vertaalbureaus in Nederland (VViN), which operates under the European Union of Associations of Translation Companies (EUATC), Hilde remains actively involved in the translation community.
Exito Translations offers services in all Western languages and occasionally ventures beyond Europe. With a dedicated in-house team and a vast network of professional translators and native speakers, Exito guarantees meticulous attention to detail, matching each project with the right expertise.
