At the Mildmay Research Centre Uganda, we are dedicated to advancing healthcare and improving the quality of life for individuals affected by HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases. Our multidisciplinary team focuses on high-quality clinical research, innovative treatment interventions, and capacity building within the healthcare system. About me

Dr. Ronald Mulebeke at the Director Mildmay Research Centre Uganda, a prominent researcher in the field of infectious diseases, with a particular focus on malaria and its impact on public health in Uganda. His extensive body of work encompasses various aspects of malaria prevention and treatment, including innovative strategies such as indoor residual spraying and mass drug administration.
In recent publications, Dr. Mulebeke has explored the effectiveness of population-based interventions in high transmission settings, contributing valuable insights to the ongoing fight against malaria. His research also addresses the experiences and treatment outcomes of COVID-19 patients in home-based care, showcasing his versatility and commitment to improving health care delivery in Uganda. Dr. Mulebeke's work has been recognized and supported by esteemed institutions, including the Ministry of Higher Education in Malaysia and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology. His contributions to journals such as BMC Infectious Diseases and the Journal of Infectious Diseases reflect his dedication to advancing knowledge and practices in the field of infectious diseases, ultimately aiming to enhance health outcomes for vulnerable populations. Through his research, Dr. Mulebeke continues to play a crucial role in shaping health policies and practices in Uganda, making significant strides in the understanding and management of infectious diseases. Dr. Mulebeke is currently a co-investigator of the impact evaluation evidence to guide policy decisions (IEED) making lab at Makarere University. Dr. Mulebeke is a CEGA Fellow as well as a Research Affiliate at University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Mulebeke is a member of the Research Technical Assistance Center (RTAC) –USAID that supports the Center for Development Research (CDR) and member of the Network for Impact Evaluation Researchers in Africa (NIERA).  He is a member of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
