Vincenzo Di Donato

Vincenzo is a molecular biologist with over a decade of experience in CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, zebrafish functional genomics, and translational research. He completed his PhD at Institut Curie (Paris), where he developed innovative gene-editing strategies in zebrafish to investigate neural development and disease. Since 2020, Vincenzo has served as Scientific Director at ZeClinics, where he has o deseen all scientific projects across drug screening, toxicology, ophthalmology, cancer, and genetic disease modeling. He has led the development of advanced preclinical platforms and high-throughput CRISPR workflows, supporting global biotech and pharmaceutical partners in compound discovery.  He is now working as Co-founder and Executive Director of Gene4All, a non-profit promoting equitable access to biotechnology in LMICs, and has co-organized and taught genome editing courses across Africa with TReND in Africa.
