Investigates the causes, patterns, and effects of diseases in populations to improve public health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track disease outbreaks and health trends.

  • Design and conduct observational/experimental studies (e.g., cohort, case-control).

  • Analyze data to identify risk factors and disease determinants.

  • Develop and evaluate public health interventions and policies.

  • Communicate findings to healthcare professionals, policymakers, and the public.

  • Collaborate with biostatisticians, healthcare providers, and researchers.

    Apply statistical methods to analyze health data and support medical research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design studies, clinical trials, and experiments (sample size, randomization).

  • Perform statistical analyses (regression, survival analysis).

  • Interpret data to assess treatment efficacy, disease risk, and public health trends.

  • Ensure data quality and address biases/missing data.

  • Develop predictive models and risk assessment tools.

  • Support research grants and publish findings.
