Stefan Riegler

Stefan Riegler holds a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Graz/Austria. During his studies, he was ERASMUS student in Edinburgh/Scotland and Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota/USA.

He has worked for the Austrian Economic Chamber (e.g. in the office of the deputy secretary general), and for IBM Austria. In 2007, he joined the Federal Ministry of Economy, where he served in several positions (e.g. in the office of the Federal Minister), always being responsible for research and innovation policy.

In 2019, he became Head of the Directorate for Research and Innovation.

Stefan Riegler is a Member of the Supervisory Board of the FORWIT, the Austrian Council for Sciences, Technology and Innovation and a Member of the EIC Forum Plenary of the EU (European Innovation Council).
