Olivia Zechner

I lead the research group Innovation & Value Creation at Salzburg Research, where I focus on digital transformation, open innovation and data-driven research and development. My career spans both international business and research: I have held leadership positions at Etihad Airways, Credit Suisse and BP, as well as research roles at renowned institutions such as King’s College London and the Austrian Institute of Technology.

In my current work I combine expertise in behavior change models with digital tools and evidence-based methods to foster sustainable choices across sectors such as tourism, mobility and smart regions. With experience in contributing and coordinating European research projects, I’m keen to build collaborations that turn cutting-edge research into impactful applications
