Sara Carniello

Dott. Sara Carniello, MBA, studied Materials Engineering and Nanotechnologies in Italy and completed an MBA in Generic Management at Montanuniversität Leoben (MUL), Austria. 

She worked many years as project and team manager in the electronics industry, where she gained vast experience on technology and product development. After some years as entrepreneur and freelance consultant, she joined Joanneum Research in 2022 to work on the sustainability of electronics and advanced materials. She is currently coordinator for the Business Area “Environment and Sustainability” and contact person for projects related to circular economy.

She is Advisor of the Circular Economy Forum Austria and guest lecturer in various European Universities.
